Cosmetic container

Created on 09.10
Cosmetic containers are commonly found in plastic bottles, glass bottles, tubes, vacuum bottles, etc. 1. Plastic bottles are usually made of materials such as PP, PE, K material, AS, ABS, acrylic, PET, etc. 2. Typically, the thicker-walled cream jars, bottle caps, stoppers, gaskets, pump heads, and dust covers for cosmetic containers are formed by injection molding: PET blow bottles are formed in two steps, tube blanks are injection molded, and finished packaging is blow molded. Other containers with thinner walls, such as lotion bottles and washing bottles, are blow molded. 3. PET material is environmentally friendly, has high barrier properties, is lightweight and shatterproof, has chemical resistance, and is highly transparent, and can be made into pearlescent.

1. Plastic bottle
1. The material of plastic bottles is usually PP, PE, K material, AS, ABS, acrylic, PET, etc.
2. Usually used for cosmetic containers with thicker walls such as cream jars, bottle caps, stoppers, gaskets, pump heads, and dust covers.
For injection molding: PET blow bottles are formed in two steps, tube preforms are injection molded, and finished packaging is blow molded. Other containers, such as thin-walled lotion bottles and detergent bottles, are blow molded.
3. PET material is an environmentally friendly material with high barrier properties, lightweight, non-fragile characteristics, chemical resistance, and strong transparency. It can be made into pearlescent, colored, magnetic white, and transparent forms, and is widely used in the packaging of lotion. The bottle mouth is generally standard sizes of 16#, 18#, 22#, and 24#, and can be equipped with a pump head for use.
4. The acrylic material is an injection-molded bottle, with poor chemical resistance, generally cannot be directly filled with paste, requires an inner liner for barrier, filling should not be too full to prevent the paste from entering the space between the inner liner and the acrylic bottle, to avoid cracking. The packaging requirements during transportation are high, as scratches are particularly noticeable after they occur. It has high transparency, a thick wall in appearance, but is expensive.
5. AS, ABS: AS has better transparency than ABS and better toughness.
2. Glass Bottle
1. Glass bottles used for cosmetics are mainly divided into: skincare products (creams, lotions), perfumes, essential oils, and nail polish. The capacity is relatively small, and bottles larger than 200ml are rarely used for cosmetics.
2. Glass bottles are divided into wide-mouth bottles and narrow-mouth bottles. Solid pastes are generally stored in wide-mouth bottles, which are suitable for aluminum foil or plastic caps. The bottle caps can be used for effects like color spraying; emulsions or water-based pastes are generally stored in narrow-mouth bottles, equipped with pump heads. It is important to prevent the springs and balls from rusting. Currently, most pump heads are equipped with glass beads, and material testing is usually required for suitability tests. If a cap is used, it should be paired with an inner plug. Water-based solutions should be paired with small holes and inner plugs, while thicker emulsions should be paired with large hole inner plugs.
